WRESTLER JACK SWAGGER ARRESTED

former World Heavyweight Champion, Jack Swagger. Swagger, real name Jacob Hager, was arrested Tuesday night following a taping of the company's TV show smackdown TMZ reports Hager was initially pulled over for speeding, however police discovered that he was driving under the influence.

A search of his car produced marijuana, which led to Swagger being arrested for DUI (not alcohol), and possession. He was also charged with speeding. All charges are misdemeanors, and Hager was later released on his own recognizance. When reached for comment, a WWE spokesperson said, "Mr. Swagger is responsible for his own personal actions."

WWE has a drug testing policy in place. Testing positive for drugs other than marijuana and alcohol make the employee subject to suspension. However, testing positive for marijuana is only a $2,500 fine. Swagger recently returned from injury, and has been part of a large storyline of mocking patriots libertarians and the tea party. going into the company's biggest annual show, Wrestlemania. EL CHAPO GUZMAN HAS BEEN KIILED ?

The world's most powerful drug lord, Joaquín 'El Chapo' Guzman, has been killed in a gun battle between drug gangs, Guatemalan authorities suspect.

The 58-year-old head of the Sinaloa cartel is thought to have been among the bodies left after the shoot-out in a remote rural area of Peten, in Guatemala.

Residents who witnessed the clashes have told authorities that one of the two dead men resembled the Mexican drug baron.

Police and soldiers are to search the area in an attempt to locate the scene of the fight on the border with Mexico where drug violence has increased.

Joaquín Archivaldo Guzman Loera, also known as 'Shorty Guzman' because of his 5ft6in height, is one of America's most wanted criminals.

He has been the most powerful drug lord since his rival was captured in 2003 and since 2009 has been named every year by Forbes as one of the world’s most powerful people with an estimated fortune of $1bn.

Last week he was named Chicago's Public Enemy No 1, a name not given to any criminal since Al Capone.

JR Davis, president of the Chicago Crime Commission, said: "Not since the Chicago Crime Commission's first Public Enemy No. 1 has any criminal deserved this title more than Joaquín Guzman."

Chicago is one of the Sinaloa's most important cities, both as a place to sell drugs but also as a hub to distribute them across the US.

The US sees him as such a threat that it has put a $5m reward for information leading to his capture.

The Drug Enforcement Agency believe he has surpassed the infamous drug lord of the 1980s, Pablo Escobar, in terms of both his notoriety and the scale of his operation.

He has been in hiding since escaping from a Mexican prison in a laundry cart in 2001.

Interior Minister Mauricio Lopez Bonilla said that police and soldiers would begin searching the area on foot and in the air at first light today.

However, the authorities have stressed they had only received reports of the battle from local people.

Government spokesman Francisco Cuevas told Guatevision Television that two drug gangs had clashed in Peten.

"We have to wait for all the technical information in order to determine if, in fact, one of the dead is of Joaquín 'El Chapo' Guzman," Cuevas said.

Interior Department spokeswoman Carla Herrera said that one of the victims physically resembled the drug lord.

She said officials had asked the Mexican government to send Guzman's fingerprints to compare them to the man found inside a vehicle and to send investigators.

Peten province is an isolated area of jungle and ranches where 27 ranch workers were massacred in 2011 by the Zetas drug gang, a top rival for Guzman's Sinaloa drug cartel

finally hogan convince rvd to join and fight the wwe in the competition of the monday night wars in wrestling Hulk Hogan along with Jimmy Hart are making the rounds this morning to promote that TNA Impact is moving to Monday nights beginning next week. This morning, the duo were in studio on the Jim Kerr Rock & Roll Morning Show on Q104.3 in New York City.

While hyping the big move, the Hulkster made an interesting comment. "We've got a bunch of surprises coming up with some guys that just signed I didn't even tell Jimmy about. I found out about it last night. But it's going to be really crazy if you know what I'm saying." During that last sentence, Hogan began pointing at himself with his thumbs, which is the trademark gesture of Rob Van Dam.

Edward "Umaga" Fatu passed away around 6 p.m. EST after suffering a second heart attack while in the hospital. He was 36.

Earlier today we reported that Fatu had been hospitalized in Houston with what was being called a "life threatening condition." While many wrestling news sites were quick to pronounce him dead, ProWrestling.net reported that a family member has said reports of his death were premature. However, multiple sources maintained that his situation was "extremely serious" and "grave" and that family members were told to rush to the hospital.

Reports say Fatu fell asleep last night while watching television, only to be discovered several hours later by his wife, who found the wrestler not breathing and with blood coming from his nose. He was rushed to the hospital, where he suffered the second heart attack. Reports that he had been taken off of life support are inconsistent.

Fatu is most famous for his character "Umaga," a Samoan savage best known to the mainstream world as part of the Donald Trump vs. Vince McMahon "Battle of the Billionaires" at Wrestlemania 23. He also competed as "Ekmo" in TNA Wrestling and as "Jamal" in both WWE and All Japan Pro Wrestling. Fatu was released from his WWE contract in June for a second violation of the company's wellness policy, a point that the WWE makes clear in classy fashion in Fatu's death announcement on WWE.com He was most recently was a performer on the Hulkamania Tour in Australia that concluded just last weekend.

Former CNN anchor Lou Dobbs, pondering a future in politics, is trying to wipe away his image as an enemy of Latino immigrants by positioning himself as a champion of that fast-growing ethnic bloc.

Mr. Dobbs, who left the network last week, has said in recent days that he is considering a third-party run for a New Jersey Senate seat in 2012, or possibly for president. Polls show voters unhappy with both parties, and strategists believe Mr. Dobbs could tap populist anger over economy issues just as Ross Perot did in the 1990s.

First, though, Mr. Dobbs is working to repair what a spokesman conceded is a glaring flaw: His reputation for antipathy toward Latino immigrants. In a little-noticed interview Friday, Mr. Dobbs told Spanish-language network Telemundo he now supports a plan to legalize millions of undocumented workers, a stance he long lambasted as an unfair "amnesty

"Whatever you have thought of me in the past, I can tell you right now that I am one of your greatest friends and I mean for us to work together," he said in a live interview with Telemundo's Maria Celeste. "I hope that will begin with Maria and me and Telemundo and other media organizations and others in this national debate that we should turn into a solution rather than a continuing debate and factional contest."

Mr. Dobbs twice mentioned a possible legalization plan for the estimated 12 million illegal immigrants in the U.S., saying at one point that "we need the ability to legalize illegal immigrants under certain conditions."

Mr. Dobbs couldn't be reached Tuesday. Spokesman Bob Dilenschneider said Mr. Dobbs draws a distinction between illegal immigrants who have committed crimes since arriving in the U.S. and those who are "living upright, positive and constructive lives" who should be "integrated" into society. He said Mr. Dobbs recognizes the political importance of Latinos and is "smoothing the water and clearing the air."

After a career as a broadcaster and Internet entrepreneur, Mr. Dobbs turned himself into a populist firebrand, campaigning against labor outsourcing, free trade and immigration.

Mr. Dobbs left CNN saying he wanted to become an advocate. Immigration advocates, including Ms. Celeste, had long called for his ouster; critics in particular cite a 2007 report on his show that cited erroneous data suggesting illegal immigrants were tied to a spike in leprosy cases in the U.S. Mr. Dobbs told Ms. Celeste the report was a mistake, and blamed a reporter ad-libbing on the air.

Frank Sharry, who heads America's Voice, a group that advocates for legalizing undocumented immigrants, said Mr. Dobbs's conversion isn't credible, given his history of opposing efforts to liberalize immigration policies.

Jim Gilchrist, founder of the Minuteman Project, which seeks strict border enforcement and opposes legalization, said he admired Mr. Dobbs and will "watch him for several months before drawing a conclusion."

Political strategists, however, aren't dismissing the potential power of a Dobbs run. Ed Rollins, a Republican consultant who advised Mr. Perot, said Mr. Dobbs has two big factors in his favor: name recognition and a turbulent economic time that can help a populist, third-party figure.

During his Telemundo appearance, Mr. Dobbs was both defensive and conciliatory as Ms. Celeste ticked off what she said were the Latino community's grievances about Mr. Dobbs. "Many Hispanics consider you to be the No. 1 enemy of Latinos," she told him. "Do you think that the community is somehow misjudging you?"

"Oh, not somehow. Definitively, absolutely," Mr. Dobbs responded. "By the way, I don't believe for a moment that the Latino, Hispanic community in the United States believes that of me at all. It has been the efforts of the far left to characterize me in their propaganda as such."

Mr. Dobbs's relationship with Latinos will be crucial if he chooses to run against Sen. Robert Menendez (D., N.J.), the Senate's lone Hispanic. In response to the possibility, Menendez spokesman Afshin Mohamadi said: "I'm sure that he would relish eventually having an opponent from so far out of the mainstream who has never delivered a thing to the hard-working people of New Jersey."

NEW YORK – A CBS News employee is accused of trying to extort $2 million from David Letterman, forcing the late-night host to admit in an extraordinary monologue before millions of viewers that he had sexual relationships with female employees.

Letterman said that "this whole thing has been quite scary." But he mixed in jokes while outlining what had happened to him, seeming to confuse a laughing audience at Thursday's taping about whether the story was true.

The network said the person who was arrested works on the true-crime show "48 Hours" and has been suspended. A person with knowledge of the investigation said the suspect is Robert J. Halderman. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because authorities have not released the suspect's name.

A "48 Hours" producer named Joe Halderman was part of a team nominated for an Emmy for outstanding continuing coverage of a news story in a news magazine in 2008. Two numbers listed for Halderman were disconnected, and a message left at a third number was not immediately returned Thursday.

The Manhattan district attorney has scheduled a news conference for late Friday morning to talk about the arrested employee, who the DA says is from Connecticut

Three weeks ago, Letterman said, he got in his car early in the morning and found a package with a letter saying, "I know that you do some terrible, terrible things and that I can prove that you do some terrible things." He acknowledged the letter contained proof.

He said it was terrifying "because there's something insidious about (it). Is he standing down there? Is he hiding under the car? Am I going to get a tap on the shoulder?"

Letterman said he called his lawyer to set up a meeting with the man, who threatened to write a screenplay and a book about Letterman unless he was given money. There were two subsequent meetings, with the man given a phony $2 million check at the last one. Letterman joked it was like the giant ceremonial check given to winners of golf tournaments.

He told the audience that he had to testify before a grand jury on Thursday.

"I was worried for myself, I was worried for my family," he said. "I felt menaced by this, and I had to tell them all of the creepy things that I had done."

He said "the creepy stuff was that I have had sex with women who work for me on this show. My response to that is yes, I have. Would it be embarrassing if it were made public? Yes, it would, especially for the women."

Whether they wanted to make the relationships public was up to them, he said.

"It's been a very bizarre experience," he said. "I felt like I needed to protect these people. I need to protect my family. I need to protect myself. Hope to protect my job."

CBS said in a statement that "we believe his comments speak for themselves."

Perhaps as a defense mechanism, Letterman sprinkled his remarks with jokes: "I know what you're saying," he said. "I'll be darned, Dave had sex."

He said he wouldn't talk further about it, and recited a Top Ten list. But it wasn't far from his mind. During banter with actor guest Woody Harrelson, Letterman said, "I've got my own problems
